Visit the OLD TOWN of Chioggia by night

Night visit to the historic center of Chioggia The evening itineraries of "Chioggia Effetto Notte", every Tuesday (from 25 June 2024) departing at 9.00 pm from Piazzetta Ballarin in Sottomarina.
For over 25 years, the La Bricola cultural association has accompanied tourists, occasional visitors, campers and all those of all ages and backgrounds who are passionate about the history and rich traditions of our town on the edge of the southern Venetian lagoon.
All visitors, including foreigners (tours are also offered in English and German), will stroll through the streets, the Corso and the small squares of the historic centre, 'mixing' information and curiosities, traditions and folklore, mysteries and legends, history and good humour.
On Tuesday evening the routes start from Sottomarina and then reach the historic center of Chioggia and visit, in rotation, the historic and artistic churches: Cattedrale, S. Francesco-Muneghette, San Domenico, San Giacomo, Filippini, S. Andrea, Santa Caterina ….

On Thursdays in museum!

Meeting point: Chioggia - Stendardo (near the Municipal Palace) - 9.00 pm

On Thursday evening it will be possible to visit, in rotation, the Civic Museum in San Francesco Outside the Walls, the diocesan museum near the Cathedral, the historic collection of the Philippine Fathers set up in the upper part of the church behind the choir, the church and art gallery of the SS. Trinità, the ancient Tower of Sant'Andrea and its famous clock made by Dondi in the fourteenth century, but also the naturalistic collections of the Circolo Linneo in Palazzo Ravagnan and the noble Palazzo Poli - better known now as Casa Goldoni, where he lived for a few period of his life the famous Venetian playwright - the museum of Adriatic zoology “G. Olivi” at Palazzo Grassi.

Attention:
- It will not be possible to book multiple outings at the same time but from week to week;
- On Thursdays, ENTRANCE to the MUSEUMS is PAYMENT at a REDUCED RATE while the guided tour remains free. The fee will be paid directly at the museum cash desk by participants on the evening of the visit;
